The Blues on the Bay Festival is an annual extravaganza of blues music that takes place in the town of Warrenpoint at the end of May.
It is considered now to be one of the world’s most popular blues festivals with close to 100 gigs being played over the five-day event by both local and international jazz and blues musicians.
The festival also includes music workshops, busking competitions, the Bluesberry Park Food Fest and the visit of the Tall Ships.
Over the years, musicians such as Van Morrison, Ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell, Leon Hendrix, Chaz DePaolo and the Red Hot Roosters have all performed at the event.
