Shopping
If shopping is your thing, then you certainly won’t be disappointed when you come to visit. Just ten miles away is the city of Newry, home to both the Quays and Buttercrane Shopping Centres, and now regarded as the premier shopping location to be found between Dublin and Belfast.
Bars and Restaurants
Our local bars and restaurants offer something to cater for every taste. If you’re after a romantic meal or Sunday lunch, seafood or a steak, then you’ll find it here. There’s also the opportunity to experience a traditional music session in one of the many pubs or just enjoy a quiet drink as you watch the world go by.
Parks
With Kilbroney Park and Rostrevor Forest offering spectacular scenery on our doorstep, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding somewhere for a leisurely stroll or picnic with the family. And if that’s not enough, then the Castlewellan and Tollymore Forest Parks are only a short drive away.
Festivals and Events
The widely acclaimed Fiddler’s Green International Festival, offering a mix of Irish music and culture, is held annually in the local village of Rostrevor, while the nearby town of Warrenpoint plays host to both the Blues On The Bay Festival and the International Maiden of the Mournes Festival.
Towns and Villages
Seaview Guesthouse is within easy reach of a number of towns and villages in the Mournes area. The picturesque village of Rostrevor is just two miles away, while the fishing port of Kilkeel and the village of Annalong can be visited on your journey along the coast to the popular seaside resort of Newcastle.
